Awesome Android Apps (Foss)
A collection of great open source applications to replace proprietary ones on Android. Most of these apps are available on F-Droid.
Android is about to stop being open. Starting in 2027 Google requires every Android app developer to register centrally with it — not just Play Store apps, but every app, including the ones distributed through F-Droid or sideloaded. Independent developers, community projects and hobbyists would be frozen out. Read why this matters and how to fight it: keepandroidopen.org.

Any app suggestion is more than welcome and should be submitted via an issue. Please use the given issue template. This is also the fastest way for your suggestion to be added to the list!
Alternatively you can save me some work and send a Pull Request, but make sure to follow the CONTRIBUTING GUIDELINES. The fastest way to send a PR is to run the helper scripts from the repo root:
$ python scripts/add.py # answer the questions to add your app to apps/*.json
$ python scripts/build.py # regenerate the category tables and README
